They’re Baaaack!
As of late, the drive to and from work really hasn’t been that bad. It has fallen into a nice rhythm of taking 35-45 minutes each way, which I can deal with since that means I’m actually moving the whole time. But the past two days, I’ve been sitting in traffic on 400 again. I waited until the second day to report on this one, just in case the first day was a fluke, but no such luck. Looks like I’ll be dealing with the traffic for awhile once again. The cause of my stress you might ask? Bulldozers. That’s right, the bulldozers are back at work tearing up the median of 400, and naturally as a result, people have to slow down. The Bulldozer Theory is back in full swing. For those that missed The Bulldozer Theory the first time through, here is some supplemental reading for you: http://www.jonathantorrell.com/archives/17.
Although I did see one good thing about it all this morning. One guy had pulled over to the side of the road across from the bulldozers and was just sitting on the bed of his truck holding his son (probably 3 years old or so) who was just watching the bulldozers and pointing and smiling and having the time of his life. It made me smile and made sitting in a little traffic worthwhile for me today. Because honestly, that’s the happiest I’ve ever seen an awake person at 6:30 in the morning :).
