Apparently my general rule of leaving for the airport two hours before my flight’s supposed to leave does not apply at 4 in the morning. This method that usually gets me to the gate a few minutes before boarding starts has me sitting at my gate an hour and twenty minutes before my 6:50 flight is supposed to leave. So I sit here listening to the recap of the night of a group of people that are trying to get to Vegas, but spent the night in the Atlanta airport because of the storms.

I’m off to San Francisco for work for a couple of days, which should be just enough time to mess with my body’s understanding of what time zone it’s currently in. Good thing I have a pretty crazy sleep schedule as it is.

The trip to Virginia Beach was a great break from everyday life. Stay, Trout, Lindsay and myself made sure to cause enough trouble in a week to last us until our next vacation. There are plenty of pictures that I’ll try to get up sometime soon. The half marathon (the original root purpose of the trip) was alright I guess, except for my lack of preparation. Trout and Stay had decent runs however and I managed to finish, so all in all, it was a good day. I really needed the break from work and the chance to spend some time with family.

Life in general has been pretty busy so I haven’t made too much progress on the basement. The first coat of paint is on the walls and I’ve done a lot of patching of spots that needed a little work so we should be ready for the second coat of paint at thois point. Then the ceiling needs painted and some tile for the floor and we should be about done with all of the major parts. I’ll try to get some new photos of the progress taken and posted when I get home from San Fran this week.

On top of everything else, I’m working on a few new web projects so more to come on that as they develop. They’re taking the backseat a bit to everything else I have going on right now, so they may be a little slow to come together.

I think that’s about all I have for now, or maybe about all that my thumbs can take from writing a BlackBerry post. I’ll hopefully have some updates on everything later in the week when I get back home.
