POTD: May Be Icy?
Sometimes when nothing is going right, it just seems like things are in place to mock you. Â This week, I’ve been working in Nebraska and Wyoming, and, while Wyoming has been pretty scenic and enjoyable, Nebraska just wasn’t all that great. Â We happened to get here during a pretty solid storm that helped us stay consistantly miserable for two days. Â
About half of the work that we have to do at these sites is on the roof of the building and Nebraska just happened to have a storm with pouring rain and consistent 32-34 degree temperatures all day. Â I wish it would have just cooled down a little bit and we could have just had snow. Â At least then I wouldn’t have been as soaked to the bone the whole time.
To make it worse however, every time we got in the car after being outside and nearly freezing to death, the nice little center console felt the need to inform us that it “May Be Icy?”. Â Thanks. Â Really. Â Thanks, car. Â As if I wasn’t perturbed enough by the fact that it was telling me it could be icy outside, is the question mark really necessary? Â It’s almost like it’s asking me the question just to rub it in that I’m soaking wet and freezing. Â Thanks, Nissan. Â Is it any wonder that I feel like I’m getting sick?
